By Belize Live News Staff: Under a block. Up a tree. Orange Walk police found drugs stashed in both.

During an operation on Rio Grande Street on Wednesday morning, officers searched the outside edge of a fence and flipped over a cement block. Underneath sat a plastic bag with a rectangular chunk of off white substance suspected to be crack cocaine.

They kept looking. Wedged between branches above the fence was a tied yellow bag holding nine wrapped packets of suspected cannabis.

The haul: 12.2 grams of suspected crack and 46.2 grams of suspected cannabis.

No one claimed it, so it went down as found property at the Trial Farm Police Sub Station.

A man inside the same residence was charged separately after police allegedly found cannabis in his pocket.
