By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans can anticipate a warm and relatively dry day, with some moisture lingering in the atmosphere, resulting in scattered showers in central and southern regions. However, the Belize Meteorological Service indicates that these showers will gradually decrease tonight, paving the way for drier and fairer conditions into midweek.
Winds from the east at 10-15 knots will contribute to moderate marine conditions, keeping the sea state choppy with waves between 3-5 feet. Fishermen and mariners should remain cautious in offshore waters, particularly if isolated showers create temporary gusty conditions.
Temperatures will be warm and comfortable, reaching highs of 85°F (29°C) along the coast, 88°F (31°C) inland, and 76°F (24°C) in the hills. Nighttime will bring cooler conditions, dropping to 77°F (25°C) on the coast, 70°F (21°C) inland, and 65°F (18°C) in hilly areas.
The outlook for Wednesday suggests mainly fair conditions, with only isolated showers expected. There is also a chance of an isolated thunderstorm developing over the Maya Mountains in the afternoon or evening.
Tidal information includes low tide at 7:20 AM, followed by high tide at 1:10 PM. The next low tide will be at 8:36 PM, with high tide returning at 2:17 AM Wednesday. The sunset today will occur at 5:55 PM, while the moon will rise at 11:03 PM.
Forecaster Tareek Matthews recommends taking advantage of today’s mostly fair weather, but keeping an eye on brief passing showers in certain areas.
