By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans can expect a mix of sun and cloud today as relatively moist conditions influence the country’s weather. The Belize Meteorological Service forecasts cloudy spells throughout the day, with scattered showers affecting various areas. However, conditions are expected to improve later in the evening, with showers decreasing and becoming isolated.
Winds will blow from the east at 5-15 knots, maintaining a choppy sea state with wave heights between 3 and 5 feet. Boaters and fishermen are urged to remain cautious while venturing out to sea, as conditions may be slightly rough in some areas.
Temperatures will remain within normal seasonal ranges. Coastal areas will see highs of 86°F (30°C) before cooling to 76°F (24°C) at night. Inland areas will reach highs of 88°F (31°C) before dropping to 72°F (22°C). In the hills, cooler conditions will persist, with daytime highs of 75°F (24°C) and lows of 66°F (19°C).
The forecast for Sunday and Sunday night indicates fairer weather ahead, with only isolated showers expected across the country.
Today’s tidal schedule includes a high tide at 8:10 AM, a low tide at 12:04 PM, and another high tide at 6:50 PM. Tomorrow’s early low tide is forecast for 2:40 AM. The sun rose at 6:22 AM and will set at 5:51 PM. The moon will rise at 2:21 PM today and set at 4:09 AM tomorrow.
Forecaster Francisca Wellington assures residents that while scattered showers will be present during the day, drier conditions will return tonight, making for a pleasant weekend overall.
