By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belize Territorial Volunteers leader Wil Maheia says he spotted a Guatemalan Armed Forces vessel inside Belize’s sovereign space at the Sarstoon on Saturday morning.
According to XTV Belize News, Maheia made an impromptu early morning trip to the Sarstoon, where he observed the vessel in front of Sarstoon Island.
Maheia and the BTV have long made regular trips to the Sarstoon to assert Belize’s sovereignty in the area.
There has been no official comment yet from the Government of Belize or the Belize Defence Force on the sighting.
