By Belize Live News Staff: November 30th marks the official end of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season, and Belize is giving thanks after being spared from any direct storm strikes this year. Despite early predictions of an active season, the country avoided tropical storms and hurricanes entirely, a blessing many Belizeans are celebrating.
Throughout the season, the National Meteorological Service closely monitored tropical activity, issuing updates and preparedness advisories. Fortunately, the Atlantic Basin remained quiet whenever potential threats approached the region, allowing Belize to avoid the destruction and displacement seen in previous years.
Met officials say the final days of the season show no systems of concern, and all indicators point to a calm end. While minor increases in moisture and scattered showers occurred from passing tropical waves, no system intensified or tracked toward Belize.
Officials remind the public that while this year brought relief, the threat remains real each season. They encourage continued preparedness and awareness for future years.
