Government approves $2 million to upgrade Belize City and Belmopan bus terminals

By Belize Live News Staff: The Government of Belize has approved $2 million for the rehabilitation of the Belize City and Belmopan bus terminals, according to the latest Cabinet brief.

The investment aims to modernize both terminals, improve passenger comfort, and enhance safety standards for commuters and transport operators. The upgrades are expected to include structural improvements, better seating and lighting, and the installation of updated facilities to accommodate growing travel demand.

Officials say the rehabilitation project is part of a wider effort to revitalize public transportation and strengthen the infrastructure that connects key routes between Belize City, Belmopan, and other major destinations.

The Ministry of Transport is expected to oversee the project, which will begin in the coming months.
