By Belize Live News Staff: A 27 year old Independence Village woman has made a police report after she says her ex common law partner confronted her during a church parade and later entered her home without permission.
Police say the incident began at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday at Triangular Park.
The woman was preparing to leave with her nine year old son when the man allegedly opened her vehicle door and asked to take the child.
She told police that she refused because she believed he had been drinking.
The woman alleged that he then became angry, threatened revenge, used insulting words and pointed in her face.
She later drove home, but police say the man subsequently arrived at the residence and allegedly entered through an open door without being invited.
He reportedly began shouting at the child.
Police later detained a 29 year old man in connection with the complaint.
Charges for burglary, indecent words and common assault are pending.
