Tropical wave monitored in Atlantic, no immediate threat to Belize

Meteorologists monitoring potential system in the Eastern Caribbean

By Belize Live News Staff: The weather across Belize remains fair and calm this Saturday, October 18, 2025, with the National Meteorological Service predicting sunny skies interspersed with cloudy periods. Isolated showers and a few thunderstorms may occur, especially near coastal areas tonight.

Forecaster Francisca Wellington reports that marine conditions will stay favorable for seafarers, with light and variable winds and slight seas generating waves between one and three feet. Inland areas will experience the highest temperatures today at 93°F, while coastal areas will see 89°F and the hills around 80°F.

The tropical weather outlook highlights a tropical wave currently located over the central tropical Atlantic. The system could develop gradually as it moves into the Caribbean next week, but it currently poses no threat to Belize. The National Meteorological Service assures the public that it will continue to monitor the system closely.

Sunday’s outlook keeps conditions mostly stable, with isolated showers expected nationwide, except for a few more along the coast in the morning and night and inland during the afternoon.
