Cabinet approves updated National Integrated Coastal Zone Management Plan

By Belize Live News Staff: Cabinet has approved the updated National Integrated Coastal Zone Management Plan for Belize, along with nine regional Coastal Zone Management guidelines for 2025–2030.

The approval comes in fulfilment of Milestone 5 under the Belize Blue Bond Agreement, which requires that no later than four years after signing, the National Assembly approve and the Government formally sign into law and Gazette the Revised Coastal Management Act.

The updated plan and guidelines will serve as the Government’s overall guiding strategy for implementing decisions and actions that affect coastal management in Belize.
