By Belize Live News Staff: The long-running negotiations between the Government of Belize and the unions have reached a positive conclusion.
Deputy Prime Minister Cordel Hyde, in his role as Chairman of the Joint Union Negotiating Team (JUNT), informed Cabinet this week that the unions have officially accepted the Government’s most recent proposal.
Prime Minister John Briceño expressed his gratitude to the JUNT and the unions for their efforts to find common ground. The amicable settlement marks a step forward in labour relations and is seen as a critical development in maintaining stability and cooperation in the public service sector.
