By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans can expect a mix of sunny and cloudy weather today as the country begins to shift toward slightly drier conditions. However, a few showers and isolated thunderstorms are forecasted to impact northern and central parts of the country throughout the day. As night approaches, these showers will move to coastal regions, though the rest of Belize will likely see only isolated weather activity.
Marine conditions remain steady, with north-northeast winds of 5 to 15 knots and a sea state categorized as choppy. Waves are expected to measure between 3 and 5 feet, and temperatures across coastal regions will reach up to 88°F, while inland areas will peak at 86°F.
As for the tropical weather outlook, Tropical Storm Oscar is moving northeast with sustained winds of 40 mph, currently located around 45 miles southeast of Long Island in the Bahamas. Belize is not directly threatened by the storm.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, isolated thunderstorms and showers are predicted to affect central and southern areas during the day, with a few showers expected to move into northern regions by night. Otherwise, weather activity will remain isolated across the country.
