By Belize Live News Staff: As the tropical wave continues its journey across Belize, residents should prepare for another day of wet weather. The National Meteorological Service has released their latest forecast, predicting scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day.
While there may be a few moments of sunshine peeking through the clouds, the general outlook for today is cloudy with intermittent rainfall. The morning hours may experience more widespread thunderstorm activity, tapering off slightly in the afternoon.
As night falls, the showers and thunderstorms will become less frequent, mainly affecting the southern and coastal areas of the country.
Mariners should take note of the light chop and 2-4 foot waves due to easterly winds.
Temperatures will remain comfortably warm, with highs in the low 90s inland and low 80s along the coast.
In the meantime, Tropical Storm Ernesto continues its westward journey, currently situated northwest of Guadeloupe. As of 6:00 am today, the storm boasted maximum sustained winds of 45 mph.
The forecast for Wednesday morning predicts some lingering showers and isolated thunderstorms, with conditions expected to improve throughout the day.
