By Belize Live News Staff: The Mennonite community of Little Belize has been shattered by the death of a 10-year-old boy in a tractor accident on Friday, August 2nd.
The young boy, whose identity has not been released, was operating his family’s tractor when the heavy machinery overturned, trapping him underneath.
Despite desperate rescue attempts and immediate transport to Corozal Community Hospital, the boy’s injuries proved fatal.
Authorities are conducting an investigation to uncover the exact circumstances surrounding the accident, including whether appropriate supervision was in place and if established safety protocols were followed.
