By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans can look forward to a pleasant mix of sunshine and scattered showers as they embark on their Wednesday activities, according to the latest forecast from the National Meteorological Service.
A relatively moist northeasterly airflow is currently influencing the weather patterns across the country, bringing a blend of sunny spells and cloudy intervals. While most areas are expected to remain relatively dry, residents in the southern region should be prepared for some afternoon showers and the possibility of isolated thunderstorms. These showers could intensify slightly as the evening approaches and may extend to some coastal regions.
The marine forecast indicates choppy seas with waves reaching heights of 3 to 5 feet, and winds blowing from the east-northeast at 10 to 20 knots. Mariners are advised to exercise caution while navigating these waters.
Temperatures are expected to vary across the country, with coastal areas experiencing highs near 89°F (32°C) and lows around 81°F (27°C). Inland regions will be warmer, reaching 94°F (34°C) during the day and dropping to 74°F (23°C) overnight. Residents in the hills can expect a more comfortable range of 68°F (20°C) to 81°F (27°C).
The good news is that the tropics remain calm, with no tropical cyclone formation expected in the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, or Gulf of Mexico over the next 48 hours.
As we look ahead to Thursday, expect scattered showers and thunderstorms to persist, primarily affecting the southern and some coastal areas. Be sure to stay tuned to Belize Live News for the latest weather updates and plan your activities accordingly.
