By Belize Live News Staff: A tragic accident claimed the life of an Orange Walk resident following a collision on San Andres Street.
The victim has been identified as Steven Manzanilla, who was reportedly about to leave with his girlfriend when a vehicle slammed into them from behind. The two were on a motorcycle at the time of the crash.
The impact was forceful enough to fling both individuals onto the street. Manzanilla died on the spot from severe injuries. His girlfriend, who was also hit, was rushed to the hospital and is currently receiving medical attention.
Family and friends are mourning Manzanilla’s sudden death, describing him as a quiet, respectful man. Many have taken to social media to express shock and call for greater road safety in the community.
