By Belize Live News Staff: Belize is set to experience a warm and pleasant day on February 9, 2025, as a fresh and moderate easterly airflow continues to dominate the region. According to the Belize Meteorological Service, sunny skies will persist throughout the day, with a few cloudy spells developing at times. Tonight, conditions will remain partly cloudy, and showers, if any, will be isolated and brief.

Marine conditions will be relatively stable, with easterly winds blowing at 10-15 knots. The sea state will range from light chop to choppy, with wave heights between 2 and 5 feet. Fishermen and marine operators should expect smooth sailing, though slight caution is advised for smaller vessels.

Temperatures will remain warm and comfortable, with coastal areas reaching highs of 85°F (29°C) and cooling to 78°F (26°C) overnight. Inland areas will be slightly warmer, peaking at 89°F (31°C) before dropping to 68°F (20°C) at night. In the hills, cooler conditions will persist, with highs of 76°F (24°C) and nighttime lows of 64°F (18°C).

Looking ahead, Monday will bring a slight increase in cloud cover, with a few showers developing along coastal areas throughout the day. However, by Monday night, conditions are expected to clear again, with only isolated showers expected.

Today’s tidal schedule includes a high tide at 8:55 AM, a low tide at 1:13 PM, and another high tide at 7:53 PM. Tomorrow’s early low tide is expected at 3:26 AM. Sunrise was at 6:22 AM, and sunset is set for 5:51 PM. The moon will rise at 3:21 PM today and set at 4:09 AM tomorrow.

Forecaster Catherine Cumberbatch advises residents to enjoy the favorable weather while keeping an eye out for brief showers, particularly along the coast later tonight.
