According to the Belize Meteorological Service, skies will remain mostly cloudy, with isolated showers or light rain expected throughout the day. Offshore and southern coastal areas are likely to experience slightly higher rainfall as the system continues to affect the region.
Marine conditions have deteriorated due to the cold front, with north-northwest winds blowing at 10-20 knots and gusty at times. The sea state is choppy to rough, with wave heights ranging from 3 to 7 feet. A small craft caution is in effect, and mariners are urged to proceed carefully to avoid the impact of gusty winds and locally rough seas.
Temperatures across the country will be significantly cooler. Coastal areas are forecast to reach highs of 78°F (26°C) during the day and drop to 68°F (20°C) overnight. Inland regions will see highs of 80°F (27°C) and lows of 64°F (18°C), while the hills will experience even cooler conditions, with daytime highs of 68°F (20°C) and nighttime lows of 61°F (16°C).
The outlook for Thursday and Thursday night predicts variably cloudy skies with continued windy and cool conditions. A few showers or light rain will primarily affect offshore and coastal areas, with inland regions seeing calmer weather but maintaining cooler temperatures.
Tidal activity for today includes a low tide at 9:33 AM, a high tide at 3:41 PM, and another low tide at 11:52 PM. Tomorrow’s early high tide is scheduled for 5:57 AM. Sunrise occurred at 6:26 AM, and sunset is expected at 5:42 PM. The moon will set at 11:54 AM and rise again at 1:12 AM on Thursday.
