Light rain showers are expected to continue throughout the day, primarily inland and in coastal areas, before moving offshore during the evening hours.
Forecasters predict mostly cloudy conditions across the country, with intermittent periods of rain. While these showers may not be heavy, they are expected to be widespread, providing a wet and mild day for many residents.
Marine conditions will remain relatively calm, with winds from the north-northwest blowing at 5-10 knots. Seas will see a light chop, with wave heights averaging between 2 to 4 feet. Temperatures are expected to stay steady, reaching 82°F (28°C) along the coast and inland areas during the day before cooling off to 72°F (22°C) by tonight. Residents in the hilly regions will experience cooler temperatures, with lows dipping to 63°F (17°C).
For Wednesday, the Belize Met anticipates continued cloudy spells and light rain showers, particularly in northern and central areas. These conditions are expected to transition offshore by nightfall, suggesting little reprieve from the current weather pattern.
The tides are set to fluctuate throughout the day, with a high tide occurring at 12:03 PM, followed by a low tide at 4:49 PM. Belizeans can also look forward to a moonrise at 7:50 PM, adding a serene backdrop to the wet conditions.
With showers persisting and clouds dominating the sky, residents are advised to remain prepared for a damp midweek. Whether commuting, working outdoors, or enjoying recreational activities, light rainfall will likely accompany much of the day.
The Belize Met Service continues to monitor the conditions, reminding residents to remain cautious on the roads during rainy spells and to prepare for cool nights as temperatures drop across the country.
