By Belize Live News Staff: A tragic accident in Belmopan on Thursday claimed the life of 19-year-old Carlos Romero, a young motorcyclist and delivery worker. Romero was on a delivery run when his motorcycle collided with a ten-wheeler truck on St. Jude’s Street.
According to ACP Hilberto Romero, Carlos was trapped under the truck’s tires upon impact. He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries three hours later.
Jorge Romero, the grieving father, described his son as a hardworking and responsible young man. “He was very careful on the road and never gave us any trouble,” he said.
An investigation is ongoing, with an NIP served on the truck driver.
