By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans can expect mostly clear skies today, with the weather forecast predicting sunny conditions throughout the day. The night will bring partly cloudy skies, with only a slight chance of isolated showers or thunderstorms across the country. This continues the stretch of fair weather that has been prevailing over the region.
Winds will be gentle, coming from the east-southeast at speeds between 5 and 15 knots. Sea conditions will remain calm, with slight waves reaching heights of 1 to 3 feet. Coastal areas will experience daytime highs of around 91°F, while temperatures inland will soar to 95°F. The hills will be cooler, with highs of 80°F, and overnight lows will dip to 68°F. Coastal and inland areas can expect cooler nighttime temperatures of 84°F and 74°F, respectively.
In the wider region, Tropical Depression Seven is being closely monitored. Located around 875 miles west-northwest of the Cabo Verde Islands, it is moving west-northwest at 16 mph, with maximum sustained winds of 35 mph. While the system currently poses no threat to Belize, meteorologists are keeping an eye on its progression.
The tides today will see a low at 1:07 PM, followed by a high tide at 7:33 PM. A second low tide is expected at 11:43 PM. For tomorrow, the first high tide will be at 6:13 AM. The sun rose this morning at 5:40 AM and will set this evening at 5:55 PM. The moon will rise at 2:41 PM and will set early tomorrow morning at 1:56 AM.
