Look to the skies as Guyana paratroopers perform in Belmopan today

By Belize Live News Staff: Belmopan residents and visitors will have something special to look out for today as paratroopers from the Guyana Defence Force take to the skies for Belize’s 45th Independence celebrations.

According to a public safety notice issued by the Belize Defence Force, the visiting paratroopers will conduct landing activities at the field in front of the Curl Thompson Building.

Landings are planned for this morning and afternoon, Sunday, September 20.

The display will continue on Independence Day, Monday, September 21, with another landing scheduled for the morning.

While members of the public are encouraged to observe, the BDF is asking everyone to remain outside the designated landing field.

Spectators should maintain a safe distance and comply with instructions from security personnel and event officials throughout the activities.

The Guyana Defence Force participation comes as Belize prepares to mark 45 years of Independence on Monday.
