By Belize Live News Staff: The Office of the Prime Minister has announced that Prime Minister John Briceño has departed the country for a brief personal leave. The Prime Minister is expected to return on Sunday, September 8, 2024.
In the interim, Cordel Hyde, the Minister of Natural Resources, Petroleum, and Mining, will serve as Acting Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Briceño is expected to resume his official duties on Monday, September 9, 2024.
