By Belize Live News Staff: Belize is making its case to the boating world this week at one of the biggest yacht shows in the United States.
The Belize Tourism Board and IMMARBE are exhibiting together at the 67th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, promoting Belize as both a place to register a yacht and a place to explore.
Here is the pitch:
Flag it. Register your yacht with IMMARBE and sail under the Belize flag.
Cruise it. Explore the Belize Barrier Reef, pristine atolls and coastal marinas, then head ashore for rainforests, ancient Maya sites and adventure.
Fish it. Chase the Grand Slam of bonefish, permit and tarpon, or head offshore for marlin, sailfish and tuna.
Fly in. Belize is about two hours from Miami and two and a half hours from Fort Lauderdale by nonstop flight. Leave Florida in the morning and be on turquoise waters by afternoon.
The push comes as air access from South Florida grows, with BermudAir launching nonstop Fort Lauderdale to Belize City service this week.
Visit Belize at Booth 854, Yacht Builders Tent, Bahia Mar Yachting Center, now through Sunday, November 1, 2026.
