By Belize Live News Staff: A call from a neighbour sent a Trial Farm woman rushing home from Belize City on Sunday.
The neighbour had captured video that allegedly showed the woman’s common law husband damaging the security camera at the front of her home on Temash River Street.
By the time she got back that evening, she said she saw him outside the house. She then went to the Trial Farm Police Sub Station to report it.
Officers who checked the home found the doors had been forced and items were missing, including a wheelchair still in its box, a weed eater, a power washer and a tile cutter.
The stolen items are valued at $885, with additional damage to the camera and door locks.
The woman has requested court action. Police searched for the man but did not locate him.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Trial Farm or Orange Walk Police.
