By Belize Live News Staff: A late night dispute outside an Orange Walk Town home ended with a family fearing for their lives.
A Mopan Street resident told police he was woken up early Sunday by shouting outside. He found his brother in law in an argument with another man.
That man, he says, then directed threats at him and his family, warning he would bring armed friends to shoot him, shoot his brother in law through his window and kill his wife.
The resident said he chased the man away by throwing a glass bottle at him.
Police were called and advised the family to make a formal report, which they did later that day.
No one has been charged at this time.
Anyone facing threats of violence is encouraged to report them to the police immediately.
