By Belize Live News Staff: If there was one place to be in Belize on June 13 and 14, it was Hopkins Village.
Mango Fest 2026 wrapped up this past weekend after two days of food, music, culture, and community spirit that once again turned the coastal village into one of the country’s busiest destinations.
Visitors from across Belize and abroad made their way to Hopkins to enjoy everything mango, from creative dishes and refreshing drinks to local crafts and cultural performances that showcased the village’s unique Garifuna heritage.
The festival, organized by the Hopkins BTIA Chapter, has become much more than a celebration of Belize’s favorite fruit. It is now one of the country’s premier community events, providing an important boost for local vendors, entrepreneurs, restaurants, tour operators, and small businesses.
Throughout the weekend, the village buzzed with activity as families, tourists, and residents filled the grounds, sampled mango-inspired creations, and enjoyed live entertainment.
Organizers also took time to honor the legacy of Mary Clarine Castillo, whose vision helped transform Mango Fest into the nationally recognized event it is today.
For many vendors, the festival represented an opportunity to showcase their products to hundreds of potential customers. For visitors, it was a chance to experience the warmth and hospitality that Hopkins is known for.
As the festival comes to a close, organizers are thanking everyone who contributed to its success, from volunteers and sponsors to performers and attendees.
One thing is certain: Mango Fest continues to grow, and Hopkins continues to prove why it remains one of Belize’s most vibrant cultural destinations.
