Joint patrol leads to suspected crack cocaine arrest in San Jose Village

By Belize Live News Staff: A joint police and Belize Defence Force patrol resulted in a drug arrest Wednesday night along the Philip Goldson Highway in San Jose Village.

Officers conducting mobile patrol observed a man exiting a location reportedly associated with drug activity. As police approached, the suspect allegedly dropped a crumpled yellow paper onto the roadway.

The paper was retrieved and reportedly contained five aluminum foil parcels holding a total of eight pieces of buff-colored substance suspected to be crack cocaine.

The suspect was arrested for possession of controlled drugs and escorted to the Orange Walk Police Station. Investigations are ongoing.
