OAS Secretary General Albert Ramdin arrives in Belize for diplomatic week

By Belize Live News Staff: At the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, H.E. Albert Ramdin, Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), has arrived in Belize to participate in the Ministry’s annual Diplomatic Week.

During his visit, Secretary General Ramdin will deliver the Ministry’s Lecture Series on September 19 under the theme “Mobilising Financing for Security: How the OAS Can Support Investment in Hemispheric Security.” The lecture will be livestreamed on the Ministry’s social media platforms.

Ramdin will also address a public and private sector dialogue aimed at fostering collaboration between Belizean stakeholders and external partners to identify new opportunities for trade and investment. He is also scheduled to host a press conference to brief the media on his engagements.

While in Belize, Secretary General Ramdin will meet with Prime Minister Hon. John Briceño, and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Culture and Immigration, Francis Fonseca. He will also visit the OAS Office in the Adjacency Zone. His visit runs from September 17 to 20.
