By Belize Live News Staff: A warm and mostly dry day is in store for Belize, as forecasters report that a moderate easterly airflow and lingering moisture are shaping today’s weather patterns.
The forecast for Sunday is mostly sunny with a few cloudy intervals. Showers are expected to be isolated in most areas, with the southern and coastal regions experiencing slightly more activity than elsewhere.
Tonight will be partly cloudy, and the chance of rainfall remains low, with only isolated showers anticipated across the country.
Out at sea, the breeze continues from the east at 10 to 20 knots, producing choppy conditions and waves in the range of 3 to 5 feet. Mariners are advised to proceed with normal caution.
Temperature-wise, it will be hot and humid inland, climbing to 94°F (34°C) during the day. Coastal temperatures are expected to top off around 87°F (31°C), with the hill country enjoying cooler highs around 81°F (27°C).
There are no tropical cyclones on the horizon, with the National Meteorological Service confirming no development is expected over the next 48 hours.
The outlook for Monday and Monday night remains stable: partly cloudy skies and isolated showers.
