By Belize Live News Staff: Weather conditions across Belize remain cloudy and damp today, with forecasters warning of occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms as moist air continues to hover over the region. While a gradual improvement is expected, the lingering instability will still bring rainfall to parts of the country.
This morning, a few showers and thunderstorms are expected along the coast and inland areas. Conditions are forecast to become less active this afternoon, but showers will return by tonight, mostly concentrated over the south. Similar weather is expected to continue into Friday morning.
Marine conditions remain stable, with moderate seas and winds from the east to southeast at 10 to 20 knots. Wave heights will range between four to six feet. Temperatures inland will be hot, reaching 95 degrees Fahrenheit. The coast will be slightly cooler at 87 degrees, while hilly areas will top out around 82.
No development of tropical cyclones is expected over the next two days, according to the latest Tropical Weather Outlook.
The forecast for Friday night calls for a few early and late-night showers, particularly in the south, while the rest of the country will experience relatively isolated weather activity.
