Teen detained after violating multiple traffic laws

Arrested

By Belize Live News Staff: A 17-year-old from Guinea Grass Village has been charged following traffic violations during a police patrol.

Police say officers observed the teen riding a motorcycle without a helmet and later stopped him outside a local business.

During the stop, the rider reportedly admitted that he did not possess a driver’s license.

Further inspection revealed that the motorcycle was not licensed, uninsured, and had no license plate.

The minor was escorted to the police station where his parent was notified.

He was subsequently charged with multiple traffic offences and cautioned, after which he chose to remain silent.

Authorities say enforcement efforts will continue as part of ongoing road safety operations in the district.
