House destroyed by fire in Orange Walk

By Belize Live News Staff: A late-night fire in Orange Walk Town destroyed a zinc home on San Pablo Street.

Police say they arrived at the scene shortly after 8:30 p.m. and found the structure completely engulfed in flames.

The owner of the property, Filogonio Novelo, 67, reported that he was attending church when he received word that his house was burning.

Fire personnel worked to contain and extinguish the blaze, but the origin of the fire remains unknown at this time.

Investigations are expected to continue once the scene is cleared.
