Government advances review of People’s Constitution Commission final report

By Belize Live News Staff: The Government’s review of constitutional reform proposals continued today in Belmopan as Louis Zabaneh, Minister of Constitution and Religious Affairs, Indigenous Affairs and Transportation, held a presentation meeting with former Chairs of the People’s Constitution Commission (PCC).

The meeting formed part of the Ministry’s ongoing assessment of the PCC Final Report and its recommendations aimed at shaping constitutional reform in Belize.

During the engagement, the former PCC Chairs presented on the work of the Commission, highlighting major thematic areas and key recommendations that emerged during the reform process. The meeting also allowed for dialogue, clarification, and discussion as the Ministry continues its structured review.

Officials say the session is one of several planned engagements with the PCC Executive as the Government moves forward with evaluating the report’s proposals.
