By Belize Live News Staff: The village of Bullet Tree Falls officially unveiled its newly rehabilitated community center on Friday, marking a proud moment for residents in the Cayo District.
The facility, now fully upgraded, will serve as a central hub for community programs, cultural events, and gatherings for years to come. Importantly, it will also function as a designated hurricane shelter when needed.
The rehabilitation was carried out through a partnership involving the Belize Tourism Board under Minister Anthony Mahler, and Area Representative Michel Chebat, who both addressed villagers during the inauguration.
Chairman of Bullet Tree Falls, Tai Wu, welcomed the reopening of the center and expressed appreciation that the village now has a proper space for events and important celebrations.
The ceremony included cultural performances by the Benque Viejo del Carmen marimba band Los Hijos del West, with the national anthem led by students of Bullet Tree Falls Seventh Day Adventist School and a prayer delivered by students of Immaculate Conception R.C. School.
