Woman alleges sexual assault and beating in Dangriga

By Belize Live News Staff: Police in Dangriga have launched an investigation following a disturbing report made by a woman who claims she was sexually assaulted and physically abused by three men.

The incident was reported around 4:00 a.m. at a residence in the Salty Dog area. Police say the woman was visibly intoxicated when officers arrived at the scene, prompting officials to prioritize medical attention.

She was taken to the Southern Regional Hospital, where medical personnel conducted an examination and issued the necessary medico-legal documentation. Police indicated that the woman will be required to make a formal report once she is able to do so.

No arrests have been made at this time as investigations continue.
