By Belize Live News Staff: An Orange Walk resident has been taken into custody after police allegedly found crack cocaine on him during a routine patrol. The incident occurred on November 29, 2025, when officers were patrolling Progress Street in a marked police vehicle.
Police say they noticed a man exiting Barrio Pobre Alley, an area known to be associated with drug activity. A search was conducted on the individual, during which officers reportedly discovered two pieces of white buffy substance believed to be crack cocaine.
The man was immediately cautioned, informed of his constitutional rights, and taken to the police station. There, he was identified as Arsenio Pinkney, 42. Officers provided him with a Suspect Rights in Custody form, which was read and voluntarily signed.
The suspected crack cocaine was weighed in Pinkney’s presence, amounting to 0.2 grams, before being packaged, sealed, and signed as evidence. Police personnel completed the documentation and processing of the seized substance.
Pinkney remains detained as police prepare charges relating to possession of a controlled drug.
