SUV and motorcycle damaged in Orange Walk traffic collision

By Belize Live News Staff: Police responded to a road traffic accident on Dunn Street, Orange Walk on Tuesday afternoon where a black Saturn Vue SUV and a black Meilun 150 motorcycle were found damaged in the middle of the roadway. The SUV, bearing license plate BCC-77895, sustained damage to its front bumper, while the motorcycle, license plate OWM-4712, showed damage to its fuel tank.

Initial investigations revealed that the Saturn Vue was driven by 25-year-old Orlando Anderson of Carmelita Village. Anderson had been parked near PM Sentry and attempted to move into the lane but reportedly did not see the oncoming motorcycle due to a Bowen & Bowen delivery truck obstructing his view. As he pulled forward, the SUV collided head-on with the motorcycle, which was being driven by 28-year-old delivery woman Karla Novelo of Trial Farm Village, who was traveling from the terminal toward Cinderella Street.

Both drivers agreed to settle the matter through insurance. Police advised them to visit the station to file their formal statements. Officers confirmed that all documents for both vehicles were valid, and a rough sketch plan was completed as part of the investigation.
