By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans can expect a mix of clouds, sunshine and scattered showers today as a moist northwesterly airflow continues over the country.
The National Meteorological Service says most of the rain this morning will remain offshore, but showers and light rain could move over central and southern Belize later in the day.
By tonight, the wetter weather is expected to become concentrated mainly over southern and offshore areas.
Despite the showers, temperatures will stay warm. Inland areas could reach 89°F today before cooling significantly to 68°F overnight.
Along the coast, temperatures will range from 87°F during the day to 76°F tonight, while the hills will remain cooler with a high of 77°F and an overnight low of 65°F.
Boaters can expect north to northwesterly winds of 5 to 10 knots. Seas will range from light chop to choppy, with waves reaching between two and five feet.
Similar conditions are expected on Thursday, with isolated showers or light rain remaining possible mainly over southern Belize.
There is also some good news on the tropical weather front, as no tropical cyclone formation is expected in the region during the next 48 hours.
High tide today is at 11:57am, followed by low tide at 4:51pm and another high tide at 10:54pm.
Sunset is at 5:22pm.
