By Belize Live News Staff: Police in Orange Walk executed a search warrant for illegal drugs on Friday, November 21, 2025, at a residence on Progress Street. During the operation, officers identified themselves to the resident, 33-year-old Belizean Ninfa Leda Reynoso, before conducting the search.
While inspecting the bathroom, officers looked inside a white ceramic toilet bowl and found a small white buffy substance suspected to be crack cocaine. The substance was retrieved and shown to Reynoso, and she was informed of the offence of possession of controlled drugs. She was cautioned, read her constitutional rights, and transported to the Orange Walk Police Station along with the suspected drugs, which remained in view at all times.
At the station, Reynoso was issued her rights form, which she understood and signed. The suspected crack cocaine weighed 0.11 grams. Officers sealed the substance inside a labeled envelope in her presence, and she signed the envelope along with a witness. The exhibit was then handed over to the exhibit keeper under chain of custody procedures.
A formal information and complaint was sworn later that day, and Reynoso was officially arrested and charged with possession of controlled drugs, to wit 0.11 grams of crack cocaine. She was cautioned again and chose to remain silent.
