Moisture expected to increase tonight as isolated showers continue

Showers increase across Belize as unstable weather pattern continues

By Belize Live News Staff: A moderate east to northeasterly airflow continues across Belize this morning, with forecasters noting that increased moisture will move in later tonight.

Today’s conditions will feature sunshine along with cloudy periods, while tonight becomes cloudy at times. Showers will remain generally isolated, with a few more mostly affecting the south. Later tonight, shower activity is expected to increase offshore and along some coastal areas as moisture deepens.

Winds will blow from the east to northeast at 5 to 15 knots, creating choppy seas with waves between three and five feet. Temperatures will reach around 86°F along the coast, 88°F inland, and 78°F in the hills. Overnight lows fall to 76°F on the coast, 68°F inland, and 65°F in the hills.

The tropical weather outlook remains quiet, with no tropical cyclone activity expected in the North Atlantic Basin over the next several days.

On Sunday, Belize can expect cloudy skies, a few showers, and isolated thunderstorms mainly over coastal and offshore areas during the day, then shifting toward central and northern Belize by night.
