Bomb threat at Senior Court triggers swift police response and evacuation

By Belize Live News: Police and emergency responders were called to the Senior Court this morning after an anonymous bomb threat prompted an immediate evacuation and large-scale security operation in Belize City.

According to reports, court officials received a phone call warning of an explosive device on the premises, leading to the rapid activation of emergency protocols. Law enforcement officers and bomb squad specialists quickly arrived at the scene to conduct a comprehensive sweep of the building.

The surrounding area was cordoned off, and traffic was temporarily diverted while authorities worked to ensure the safety of court staff, attorneys, and the public. Everyone inside the building was safely evacuated, and no injuries have been reported.

Investigators are continuing to assess the situation and have not released details about the caller or possible motives behind the threat.

The Senior Court remains closed until further notice as authorities complete their investigation and confirm that the area is safe.
