By Belize Live News Staff: Moisture and instability remain the dominant weather patterns today, with widespread cloudiness and showers forecast for much of Belize.
Meteorologist Francisca Wellington reports that the country will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers, thunderstorms, and periods of rain throughout Tuesday. Conditions are set to increase overnight in southern and coastal regions.
Marine conditions are predicted to be relatively calm, with light easterly winds at 5–15 knots and seas in the 2–4-foot range.
The tropical weather outlook highlights a tropical wave moving across the central Atlantic. While it has a high likelihood of becoming a tropical cyclone within 48 hours, current models suggest no immediate threat to Belize.
By Wednesday and Wednesday night, cloudy skies with showers, thunderstorms, and extended rainfall are expected across the country, potentially impacting both inland and coastal communities.
