By Belize Live News Staff: A moderate easterly airflow is influencing today’s weather in Belize, bringing warm and generally fair conditions.
According to the morning forecast, skies will be mostly sunny with some cloudy spells. While a few isolated showers or thunderstorms are possible during the day, a notable increase in moisture is forecast for tonight, with southern and coastal regions expected to see a rise in rainfall and thunderstorm activity.
On the marine front, winds will be blowing steadily from the east at 10 to 20 knots. The sea state will range from choppy to moderate, with wave heights between 3 and 6 feet. Mariners are advised to exercise normal caution. Inland areas will experience the hottest conditions today with highs near 94°F (34°C), while coastal areas will remain slightly cooler at 88°F (31°C). Hill regions will stay mild with highs around 80°F (27°C).
Looking ahead, Tuesday will bring more cloudy intervals with occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms across the country. By Tuesday night, weather conditions are expected to improve in most areas, though a few showers may linger in the south.
There are currently no signs of tropical cyclone development in the region for the next two days.
