Stormy conditions expected tonight as tropical wave nears Belize

By Belize Live News Staff: A developing tropical wave is set to bring rainy and unstable weather to Belize tonight and into Thursday. According to the National Meteorological Service, an increase in showers and thunderstorms is forecast as the system moves closer to the country.

Today’s weather will remain relatively calm, with sunshine and some cloudiness. However, conditions are expected to deteriorate later in the day, particularly in coastal regions, which will bear the brunt of the early rainfall.

By nightfall, most of the country could be under cloudy or overcast skies, with thunderstorms and rain becoming more widespread.

Temperatures will remain relatively mild, with coastal highs around 85°F (29°C) and inland highs near 89°F (32°C). Marine conditions are moderately choppy, with wave heights of 3 to 5 feet and winds from the east-northeast.

While the tropical wave is not expected to develop into a cyclone, residents are urged to stay informed as the situation evolves.

Belize Live News will continue monitoring and will provide further updates as necessary.
