Heat dominates Tuesday forecast with brief showers in North and South

By Belize Live News Staff: Today’s forecast calls for hot and mostly dry weather, with isolated showers likely in northern areas this afternoon and southern Belize tonight, the National Meteorological Service has reported.

The weather is being driven by a moist east to southeasterly airflow, which will keep skies mostly sunny during the day and partly cloudy at night. Despite the low chance of rain, residents in the north and south are advised to stay alert for brief, scattered showers.

Marine conditions will be moderate, with east-southeast winds at 10 to 20 knots and waves reaching 4 to 6 feet.

Inland areas will experience scorching highs of up to 95°F (35°C), while coastal zones will reach around 88°F (31°C). Cooler conditions will prevail in the hills at 82°F (28°C). Overnight temperatures will dip to 73°F inland, 81°F at the coast, and 68°F in higher elevations.

The National Met Service also confirmed that no tropical cyclone activity is expected in the Atlantic Basin for at least the next two days.

Looking ahead to Wednesday, forecasters expect a continuation of this pattern, with isolated showers, and a few more likely to develop over southern Belize by nightfall.
