By Belize Live News Staff: A fire has been reported at the Independence Police Station earlier this morning. Black smoke was seen billowing from the building, as captured in footage sent to Belize Live News (BLN).
Details remain limited at this time, but the fire appears to be affecting the rear section of the police compound. Officials have confirmed that the blaze is active, and emergency personnel are on-site.
There is no official word yet on the extent of the damage, what may have caused the fire, or whether anyone has been injured.
