By Belize Live News Staff: Belizean politician and former international recording artist Shyne Barrow is sounding the alarm after Meta permanently disabled his Facebook accounts. In a public post, Barrow appealed directly to Mark Zuckerberg, accusing the platform of unfairly blocking him from accessing and managing his social media presence.
Barrow claims he was given no clear explanation and has been denied the opportunity to submit further appeals. He described the situation as “unjust,” stating that Meta does not seem to recognize him as the account holder.
Screenshots shared by Barrow include one notice from Meta that reads: “Your Facebook account has been permanently disabled… You can’t request another review.” Another message refers to a separate account under the name Moses Shyne Barrow, which has a 180-day window to appeal.
Barrow’s plea included a direct call for help: “@facebook @meta @zuck does not believe I’m Shyne…” suggesting he suspects identity verification issues may be at the core of the dispute.
