Phillip Guzman sent to prison after attempting to kill Police officers

By Belize Live News Staff: Phillip Guzman, 24, is now locked up at the Belize Central Prison after opening fire on police officers during an incident on January 8.

He has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of using deadly means of harm, and two counts of aggravated assault.

Guzman may have escaped with his life, but his actions have landed him in serious legal trouble, ensuring he won’t be leaving prison anytime soon.

Authorities have warned that attacks on law enforcement will not go unpunished.
