By Belize Live News Staff: Belize is set to experience another day of fair and stable weather today as high-pressure systems dominate the region. According to the Belize Meteorological Service, the country will see mostly sunny skies with occasional cloudy spells throughout the day. Tonight, skies will turn partly cloudy to cloudy, with isolated showers expected over central areas this afternoon and increasing over southern Belize late tonight.
The marine forecast indicates moderate conditions, with easterly winds blowing at 10-15 knots. Wave heights will range from 4 to 6 feet, maintaining a moderate sea state. While conditions are generally safe, small craft operators should remain mindful of localized choppiness in open waters.
Temperatures will remain warm and pleasant, with highs reaching 84°F (29°C) along the coast, cooling to 76°F (24°C) at night. Inland areas will be slightly warmer, peaking at 86°F (30°C) before dropping to 69°F (21°C) overnight. In the hills, temperatures will be cooler, ranging between 73°F (23°C) during the day and 65°F (18°C) at night.
Looking ahead, Friday and Friday night are expected to bring similar conditions, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and generally isolated showers. However, slightly more rainfall may occur over southern Belize.
Today’s tidal schedule includes a low tide at 9:40 AM, a high tide at 4:12 PM, and another low tide at 12:28 AM tomorrow. The next high tide is expected at 7:08 AM. Sunrise was at 6:23 AM, and sunset is set for 5:50 PM. The moon will rise at 12:25 PM and set at 2:10 AM tomorrow.
Forecaster Tareek Matthews advises residents to take advantage of the fair weather while keeping an eye out for occasional showers, particularly in central and southern areas later tonight.
