By Belize Live News Staff: Belize is set to enjoy another warm and dry day today as a southeasterly airflow dominates the region. The Belize Meteorological Service reports mostly sunny skies during the day, transitioning to clear to partly cloudy conditions tonight. Rainfall is unlikely, making this an ideal day for outdoor and recreational activities.
Marine conditions will remain manageable but are expected to shift slightly. Winds will blow from the east-southeast at 10-20 knots, and the sea state will transition from slight in the morning to moderate later in the day. Wave heights will increase from 1-3 feet to 4-6 feet by evening, so mariners should navigate with caution during the later hours.
Temperatures will be comfortable and warm throughout the country. Coastal areas will experience highs of 85°F (29°C) and lows of 77°F (25°C). Inland regions will be hotter, with daytime highs reaching 89°F (32°C) and nighttime lows of 69°F (20°C). The hills will see daytime temperatures peak at 78°F (26°C), cooling to 64°F (18°C) overnight.
The forecast for Sunday suggests similar fair and dry conditions during the day. However, isolated showers or thunderstorms may develop inland by evening. By Sunday night, a few showers or periods of light rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected across the country.
Tidal activity today includes a low tide at 7:20 AM, a high tide at 1:07 PM, another low tide at 7:20 PM, and a high tide early tomorrow morning at 1:04 AM. Sunrise occurred at 6:26 AM, and sunset will be at 5:40 PM. The moon set at 9:41 AM and will rise again at 9:58 PM tonight.
Forecaster Crystal Rosalez advises residents and visitors to take full advantage of the sunny and stable conditions. While marine activities remain favorable, caution is recommended as wave heights increase later in the day.
